If kriptonite is dangerous to Superman on earth, why wasn't it on Kripton where kriptonite came from?

Something fishy about that. What about the other 5 varieties of kriptonite (red, blue, gold, white, and green), aren't they suppose to do any damage? If kriptonite is dangerous to Superman on earth, why wasn't it on Kripton where kriptonite came from?now that s a good questionIf kriptonite is dangerous to Superman on earth, why wasn't it on Kripton where kriptonite came from?
The kryptonite wasn't "radioactive" and deadly to superman until Krypton exploded. Besides, if the hero has no vulnerabilities for the villain to exploit, where's the drama? If kriptonite is dangerous to Superman on earth, why wasn't it on Kripton where kriptonite came from?I've always wondered about this too. Like if I was allergic to hamburgers, and I lived on Hamburger Hill. It doesn't make any sense.
Well kriptonite lies in the bottom of krypton that is why it never harm Superman lets suppose lava make the same to usIf kriptonite is dangerous to Superman on earth, why wasn't it on Kripton where kriptonite came from?it's because kryptonite wasn't radioactive on his planet until the planet blew upIf kriptonite is dangerous to Superman on earth, why wasn't it on Kripton where kriptonite came from?
Kryptonite was not dangerous on Krypton (at least in the comics) because it did not become radioactive until the planet exploded. That is what made it deadly. (In the movie it was the Kryptonite turning radioactive that exploded the planet. Either way it was not deadly until after the "boom".)

Kryptonite actually had its start on the Superman radio program, not the comics. Bud Collier, who did the voice for Superman on the live daily series, had laryngitis and was unable to perform. So the writers had to come up with a quick idea to keep him off the show for two weeks. So they invented Kryptonite. It kept Superman trapped for two weeks, weak and unable to speak. They had a stand-in for Collier who just moaned for Superman during that time. The idea was picked up from there by the comic writters and Kryptonite has been around ever since.
Um, uranium is harmfull to humans and it comes from earth so why couldn't there be kryptonite on krypton just not on the surface where the people live......................If kriptonite is dangerous to Superman on earth, why wasn't it on Kripton where kriptonite came from?
its our yellow sun that makes it leathal to superman. same thing that makes him super
Indeed, the kryptonite was not radioactive until Krypton blew up, you got to wonder what could make a planet blow up, and how it can make an object radioactive. This actually sounds like something that could happen to a planet and certain elements if you understand the Electic Universe theory.

Throughout the Universe there are massive electric currents that are shaping the galaxies, the stars, and the many different solar systems. These currents flow over all the various particles and bits of matter in any given area and affect it in many different ways. It's electricity though, and you have to remember the characteristics of it, like how static electricity works.

A planet-sized object of one charge can fly in from another part of the Universe, and pass close enough to a planet of a different charge to make a connection with it and zap the hell out of it. Depending on how much the charges contrast each other, the zap will be of a greater or weaker magnitude.

Way back in the day, a great catastrophe swept over the Earth that our ancient ancestors all allude to. They claimed that there was so much lightning it looked like the sky was filled with arrows. There's a lot of evidence that the moving, charged object that did this to our planet was none other than Venus itself.

We have a magnetic field, and our planet spins in the direction it does because the energy is coming out the top of the Earth's magnetic pole. Venus spins the other direction, because it is absorbing energy that is coming through its south pole. When it passed close enough to Earth, it absorbed a hell of a lot of electrons off our planet, and created TONS of the lightning our ancient ancestors saw. Imagine two massive hurricanes situated over our poles, sucking off all the energy and creating two very cold ice caps. This is why they prayed and sacrificed so much to Venus, and why they used to call it the smoky planet, the bearded planet, and the hairy planet. It was literally glowing with filaments coming out of it.

Before Venus ran into Earth though, it passed by Mars. It lifted 3000 feet of elevation right off the Northern hemisphere of Mars, and crushed the southern hemisphere with millions of lightning bolts. See some of my "questions" about it, where I explain more.

But even before Venus passed by Mars, it passed by what is now the asteroid belt. It's charge was so great and so opposite that it completely blew up the planet Asteroid Belt to get what it needed. By the time it got to Mars, it had already got some of what it wanted so it only just blew off a part of the Northern Hemisphere, and blasted the south. And finally, by the time it got to Earth it was only strong enough to create our polar ice caps, blow us off our perfect rotation and put a wobble in our planet.

The asteroid belt might not of even been the first stop. According to Greek mythology, Kronos (Saturn) swallowed all his children. He was tricked into being fed a rock wrapped in fur by his wife, and he threw up all his children. We know how the ancients loved to make the Gods into planets, so now what does this rock wrapped in fur sound like to you? Hmmm?

Now to get to my point, If Superman was a guy whose soul, whose DNA and molecule chains and natural energy fields were in sync with this Kryptonite, and after his planet exploded it was "tainted" with this new charge, that's how it might not have done any damage way back in the day but then all of a sudden it did. :) And that's the longest answer you'll ever find for this question that actually has something to do with our very own history and solar system.
he developed an allergic reaction to it.

the poor lad.
maybe it was from a remote part of the planet i think it stores some kind of bad energy in it or something
Superman wasn't "super" on Krypton. Kryptonite doesn't hurt him, it just takes all his powers and abilities away making him vulnerable.
Kryptonite is radioactive pieces of superman's home planet. I suppose a radioactive piece of his home planet would have been dangerous to him back home. Not all material is radioactive.
