and which was fiction, that is without being told which was which. If a remote people were given a Bible and a Superman book how could they tell which was true?Perhaps you are not knowledgeable of how powerful the messages in the Bible are.
God's Holy Spirit ministers to people when they read it.
God would place it upon their hearts that which is truth. These people would not have the same view as people do today nor would they have the world views as you do today.
You did say a REMOTE PEOPLE
They would not be influenced by the ways of the world. If a remote people were given a Bible and a Superman book how could they tell which was true?
Why could both not be considered true? Superman makes no claim of deity. If a remote people were given a Bible and a Superman book how could they tell which was true?they would worship the colourful book, they probably cant read.
If they had any sense whatsoever, they'd recognize both as being the fictional stories that they are...If a remote people were given a Bible and a Superman book how could they tell which was true?Because obviously a man flying around in a red cape leaping tall buildings in a single bound is fantasy, now this other guy who walks on water and turns water to wine...that is clearly not fiction and is perfectly rational. If a remote people were given a Bible and a Superman book how could they tell which was true?
If everything else was equal (eg. the format of the text) then there really wouldn't be a way to tell which one was true but if I was in their position and had to choose one as true, I would go with superman all the way cuz the bible is full of sick things like rape, murder, incest, etc.
What are you talking about? Neither one is true.If a remote people were given a Bible and a Superman book how could they tell which was true?
The Bible changes peoples lives.
You could also include a copy of "ComputerWorld" and "Aviation Week and Space Technology"...I'll bet that would throw 'em for a loop too.
So, what's your point?
The Holy Spirit bears witness of the truth.
