its been 3 years now since the return why is it taking so long for the second installment, i want to see what happened to his son.....will there be more villains since its already two superheroes there......will lex lutor have a son also?...just a hanging question for the movie....
i am a fan of superman since i was little, and i want to see more...Can you give me your comments or review about superman returns? At no point was the main character interesting as Superman nor CK.
The falling plane set piece was very good but afterward everything just plodded on.
The writers used a terrible and easy solution to write Lois and her son out of the predicament they were in on the yacht.
And there is no climax to speak of.Can you give me your comments or review about superman returns?
I first saw Brandon Rouse in some underwater footage unconnected to the movie. I said, he must be awesome in it. My friends said, "You are wrong". They were right. NOBODY is awesome in it. I feel sorry for Alec Baldwin and John Lone because of the spectacularly bad Shadow which was an entertainingly bad spectacle which abused their talents (and others') memorably. I will always be fond of the Shadow. Superman Returns reminds us that often it is the average which does something best. This is not simply a disaster, it is such a skillful disaster it is completely mediocre and if the talents have any excellence they will have to show it elsewhere. Can you give me your comments or review about superman returns?Personally, I didn't like it. Especially when you compare it to Nolan's Dark Knight or Batman Begins.
After Bryan Singers success with the first X-men movie, I certainly expected a better storyline than what he came up with for Superman. Many people were expecting the legendary Superman/Doomsday fight that lead to the equally classic "Death of Superman" comic book.
I thought the dialogue borrowed too much from the Christopher Reeves/Superman movies and that it was a blown opportunity to bring the character to a new audience.
Instead of a good storyline about Superman, we became involved with a Lois Lane story and a child conceived by the two of them. As a byproduct of this, we now have Superman as a Superstalker, who likes to peek in on Lois's personal life. What's more, Superman doesn't even get Lois in the end.
The movie, however, is not without interest. The performance of Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor was truly enjoyable. The concept of him using Kryptonian technology to create a poisoned continent against Superman was certainly original. Spacey brought a very good and interesting dimension to the character. Can you give me your comments or review about superman returns?
i didnt like the fact that lois was married and had a super kid. this shouldve been a reboot movie or something.
Hey it's on BBC three tonight at 9.
I did not care for it, I felt Brandon Routh wasn't good enough to be the man of steel, he isn't the big all american solid bloke SUperman is, I felt he was too effeminate for the role. Lois seems stupid, Kevin Spacey is good, but I felt he had a stupid story and was wasted. The idea of them just ignoreing the last two films because they were so bad is laughably ironic and whoever though of the idea that Superman should be a dead beat dad is a moron.
Lois's husband is actually a better hero and role model.
It seems like one of those films where the story is such that they expect to make a sequel, so it doesn't matter if the story doesn't wind up or if it's quite a short story because another film will flesh it out. Those are the kinds of films that don't get sequels and aren't very good, a film should feel like a stand alone story with sequel plans later.
