Hmmm ... lots.
An important thing to remember is that when Superman was originally created by Siegel and Schuster, he did not have the ability to fly just to "leap tall buildings in a single bound" as a result of his super strength. He also didn't have heat vision. This is important at the moment because Jerry Siegel's estate is suing for the copyright from DC, but since DC created other parts of the Superman myth like heat vision, flying and kryptonite it's really complicated.
Silver Age Superman was the strongest. He was pretty much invulnerable to everything, even kryptonite for a while.
After Crisis on Inifinite Earths Superman was rebooted and became weaker, but he gradually got most of his powers back so that today he is very strong.
Some origin stories show Superman gradually gaining powers as he grows up from being exposed to the sun.
And there's many stories where Superman will lose all his powers temporarily and have to get them back.
